The Indian Institute of Science, invites online application for Four-year Bachelor of Science (Research) undergraduate Programme at the institutes. Students who complete the requirements for the award of the Bachelor of Science (Research) degree will have the option of getting a Master of Science degree by studying at the Institute for a fifth year. Six major disciplines are being offered: (1) Biology (2) Chemistry (3) Earth & Environmental Science (4) Materials (5) Mathematics (6) Physics. The major discipline chosen will appear in the degree certificate of each graduate.

Eligibility
(a) Minimum Educational Qualification
- Candidates who have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination in 2021 and also those who are expecting to complete their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination in 2022.
- The candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects in their qualifying exam along with any other subjects
- The candidates must have secured a first-class or 60% or equivalent grade (relaxed to pass class for
SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examination (i e., 10+2 or equivalent)
(b) National Entrance Exam
Selection will be based on the merit list of one of the following national examinations. Candidate must be qualified in any one of the exams mentioned above, and the exam result must be valid as on 01 August 2022.
- Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY 2020 / 2021)
- JEE Main 2022
- JEE Advanced 2022
- NEET UG 2022

- Rs 250/- for SC / ST / PwD Categories
